WHAT:        Where to Get Fit in Coastal Douglas County guide
WHERE:      Lower Umpqua Hospital and other locations
WHEN:        As long as supplies last
WHO:          Lower Umpqua Hospital, Simple the Best
Contact:       Delaine Humphreys, 541-271-9700
If you've ever heard someone talking about a local fitness activity and wondered why you had not heard of it before, help is at hand! Lower Umpqua Hospital has produced a publication entitled Where to Get Fit in Coastal Douglas County and is making it available to the community.
In it you'll find a comprehensive collection of walking routes, indoor walking opportunities, jogging trails and fitness activities such as line dancing, gyms, Zumba, Yoga, and more.
Where to Get Fit in Coastal Douglas County came about as a result of comments made in a series of conversations with the community last spring. During the discussion, many expressed surprised at what fitness opportunities were available locally. This fitness guide should address that issue. And it stashes easily in the car, purse or backpack.
Copies of the guide are available (while supplies last!) at the Family Resource Center, Lower Umpqua Hospital, Reedsport Library, Copy Cat, Chamber of Commerce  and the Senior Center.
Where to Get Fit in Coastal Douglas County was made possible by a grant from the Office of Rural Health at OSHU.
If you have suggestions for additions or changes, please call Delaine at 271-9700.
