Come see Santa Claus at the 49th Annual Holiday Bazaar in Reedsport, Oregon held December 3-4, 2010. Friday 5-9pm and Saturday 9am-5pm. Oregon vendors will sell their best crafts and gifts. Food will be provided at the Holiday Cuisine Café prepared by the culinary students of Reedsport High School. Art decorations will be provided by Highland Elementary School students. This event is sponsored by the Reedsport/Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce, this event will be held at the Reedsport Community Building.
The 15th Annual Gingerbread House Contest will be held during the Holiday Bazaar. Always a favorite, there will be prizes for two age groups: 17 and younger and 18 and older. Houses must be completely edible and delivered to the Reedsport Community Building no later than Saturday, December 4th before 10am. RULES FOR 2010 CONTEST:
GINGERBREAD HOUSES/BUILDINGS must be constructed at your home and brought to the Reedsport Community Center no later than 10:00am, Saturday, December 4th Entries must be brought on a sturdy base.
All Gingerbread Houses must be 100% edible! Entry must be your own project, not a purchased kit.
Judging will be by originality, best use of candy, and overall appearance.
There will be judging for 1st Place through 3rd Place in the following categories: under 18 and 18 and older.
Create and construct and join in the fun!!!

The Oregon Coast Chamber Orchestra (OCCO) begins its tenth season of bringing live music to Oregon coastal communities. "A night at the opera" will be heard at 2 P.M. matinee on Sunday, December 12 at Pacific Auditorium.
The ensemble will again offer a special ticket price. Purchase of an "early-bird" ticket ($10.00) will admit two persons to the event. Tickets are now on sale at the Reedsport branch of Umpqua Bank. This price will not be available on the concert date. Tickets at the door will revert to the usual cost of $10 per person.
Conductors Robin DeVour and John Monks lead the group in a variety of well-known and relatively unknown opera and operetta selections. Concertmaster for OCCO is Florence violinist Barbara Wilcox.

Deadline approaching to order Holiday Wine by Eloa Hills Wine Cellars
The deadline to pre-order the holiday wines of Eola Hills is Wednesday, December 1st. CDABA will receive $5.00 per bottle for every bottle ordered through this fundraiser. The various holiday wines by Eola Hills Wine Cellars are being offered at special prices. The per bottle price for the featured holiday wines will be: Rudolph's Red (Pinot Noir) @ $12.00, Cupid's Cab @ $12.00, Blitzen's Blanc @ $7.00, Dasher's Dessert (Port) @ $20.00, Vixen's Vino Chardonnay ($9.00), and Donner's Delight @ $20.00. These prices represent a discount from the winery's website pricing.
Deadline to order is December 1st. You can pick up an order form at the following locations: Coastal Ceramics, Kathi's Antiques, K-dun Radio Station, Ocean Breeze Flowers & Gifts, and Stephen Miller's office.
The wine will be delivered and available to be picked up on Friday, December 3rd as a part of CDABA's First Friday . . . . This is the 1st Anniversary of the First Friday events and will be a special event to attend.

CDABA's Quarterly Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 14th at 8 a.m.
and its Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 20th at 5:30 p.m.
The next quarterly meeting of CDABA will be held on Tuesday, December 14th at 8 a.m. at the Reedsport Coffeehouse. Everyone is invited to attend. Regular business will be on the agenda, such as a Treasurer's report and reports of the committees for such events as the Art Auction, Halloween Fundraiser, First Friday and Artist Showcase events.
Planning will also begin for CDABA's Annual Meeting, which has been scheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mindpower Gallery. At its annual meeting CDABA will hear a year in review report, elect new Board Members, and discuss suggested events and activities for 2011. Mark your calendars now. CDABA members need to attend in person or through a proxy in order to achieve a quorum. Proxy forms are available from the Secretary.
If you wish to resign your membership prior to the meeting please inform the Secretary, Tamara Szalewski in writing or at <tamara@mindpowergallery.com>. In order to retain your membership, each person is required to complete a Membership form each January (insurance requirement). Membership forms are also available from Tamara and at CDABA events.
Nominations to the Board of Directors are now open and anyone interested in serving on the Board of Directors or on a committee should contact any current Board Member.
