Fight Hunger with Dutch 'Luv'
This Valentine's Day, bring in 3 cans of food to any local Dutch Bros. location and receive any size drink for only $2! Local Dutch Bros. locations will be collecting food all day on Thursday, Feb. 14 to help fight hunger on the South Coast !
All 3 locations in the Bay Area will be participating in the nation-wide Dutch 'Luv' Day. The stores are located at 149 S. 7th St. and 843 S. 1st St. in Coos Bay , and 940 Virginia St. in North Bend . The deal will be good all day on the 14th.
"It is a privilege to be able to give back to our supportive community," says Brad Young, local franchisee owner. "We feel it important to remind the community that people need to eat year round, not just during the holidays."
Last year, local Dutch Bros. locations in Coos Bay and North Bend collected over 3000 pounds of food that were distributed out to the South Coast Food Share's network of 30 partner agencies from the Bay Area down to Brookings. All food donated to the South Coast Food Share is distributed at no cost.
All 195 Dutch Bros. locations will be taking part in the Dutch 'Luv' food drive, collecting cans to provide food assistance to communities in Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Colorado, California, and Arizona. The drive is just one of the many ways Dutch Bros. gives back to the community. The company regularly coordinates fundraisers benefitting national and local nonprofits. Local locations have supported the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon, and the Egyptian Theatre Preservation Association.
South Coast Food Share is a program of Oregon Coast Community Action. Oregon Coast Community Action is a non-profit network of programs that help feed, house, warm, and educate the communities of the South Coast . For more information, please call (541) 435-7080 or learn more at www.orcca.us. For more information on food drives or the South Coast Food Share, please call (541) 435-7754 .
