What:         First Friday, Thank You Celebration, and Future Plans
When:        Friday, December 7, 2011, 5 to 7 p.m.
Where:       Coastal Ceramics, 159 S. 20th
Who:          Coastal Douglas Arts & Business Alliance (CDABA)

 First Friday, December 7 – 5-7 pm,
Thank You Celebration & Future Plans
Join CDABA at its First Friday. . . Art for Everyone event on Friday, December 7, 2012 between 5-7 pm.  This First Friday event will be hosted by Coastal Ceramics, 159 So. 20th, and will be a year end thank you celebration.  CDABA wishes to say thank you to all of its supporters, artists, and the community for showing such great support during the year.
Throughout the year CDABA partnered with others to hold its various programs, including First Friday events, the St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl, the June Art Walk, the Art Auction, the annual GALA Fundraising Dinner, and the various art classes offered this Fall.  These programs are made possible from the support of the community and artists who gave of their time and talent.
Also during the year CDABA was able to assist with the Library Renovation project and applied for and received grants to assist with two projects at the Pacific Auditorium (the construction of the seating platform and the repair of the lighting panels).  With the financial assistance of the Fountaineers, CDABA was able to keep the Confluence Fountain under good repair and kept the water flowing.  Watch for new lights at the fountain in the coming months.
CDABA will be looking to the future as it plans for its annual meeting in January and will be looking to add new leadership to the Board of Directors.  If you, or someone you know, are interested in joining in the promotion of the arts and community vitality contact any CDABA Board Member to let us know of your interest.  Everyone is welcome and new ideas to explore would be great.
Speaking of new ideas --- look for CDABA to be coordinating this year's Holiday Bazaar.  The Chamber of Commerce asked for assistance with the Holiday Bazaar and various volunteers agreed to take on the task.  CDABA has also been asked to consider conducting a contest or sorts for the development of new signage for the entrances into the City of Reedsport.  CDABA is also giving thought to conducting a community wide themed art project.  Those are just a few ideas are being tossed around for future activities.  Consider joining in the fun and share your ideas for consideration.
Come join in the celebration of all the good things, Past, Present & Future.  See you on Friday – December 7th (5-7 pm) at Coastal Ceramics.
