When: Pictures need to be delivered on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 between the hours of 11am-1pm or 4 pm-6 pm to be considered for this year's competition.

Why: Fundraiser for the Library Renovation project
It is here again! The 3rd annual Coastal Douglas Photography Competition that raises funds for the Reedsport Branch Library Renovation project. 10 photos will be chosen as the best in show and will be added to our picture book of the 50 best photos over the 5 year period of the contest. This year we are accepting photos in the following
categories:
1) Riverscape/Waterfall- photo does not contain people directly or as the central focus.
2) Local Events, Festivals, Concerts, Recreation, Sports, Plays, Citizen projects and Activities
3) Elk
4) Building/Architecture/Lighthouse
5) Youth- Age 18 and younger. Your Photos of Coastal Douglas
6) Enhanced/Altered/Artistic Creativity
7) People's Choice (This category will be judged by the public on opening night!)

Holiday Bazaar
The 50th annual Holiday Bazaar is being held at the Reedsport Community Bldg. on Friday Dec. 2 and 3. On Friday evening open 5 - 9, and all day Saturday 9 - 5.
Dozens of vendors are bringing one-of-a-kind gift items, including hand knit scarves and hats, handmade soaps, lotions, candles and bath salts, Christmas ornaments and decor, clothing and every kind of jewelry you can imagine.
Gingerbread House Contest
Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to enter a gingerbread masterpiece into the annual Gingerbread Contest sponsored by the Reedsport / Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce. Bring finished Gingerbread houses to the Community Bldg on Saturday morning between 9 and 10.
Contestants are judged by age category, imagination, and skill level. All entries must be completely edible. Houses can be decorated with frosting and candy or whatever ignites your creativity, as long as it can be eaten.

Eola Hills Holiday Wine Fundraiser
CDABA partnered with Eola Hills Wine Cellars to offer its various holiday wines as a fundraiser for CDABA. The per bottle price for the featured holiday wines will be: Blitzen's Blanc (White) @ $7.00, Vixen's Vino (Chardonnay) @ $9.00, Rudolph's Red (Pinot Noir) @ $12.00, Cupid's Cab @ $12.00, and Donner's Delight (Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc Dessert wine) @ $20.00. CDABA will receive $5.00 per bottle for every bottle ordered through this fundraiser.
First Friday to feature Kyle Mulligan
This First Friday event features Kyle Mulligan, art teacher at Reedsport Community Charter School. Kyle moved to Oregon in 1994. He is currently residing near Drain, OR. He received an Associates of Art at Cañada College in Redwood, CA; Bachelor's of Arts at San Francisco State University; and a Masters of Arts at Pacific University. Kyle works in mostly oils and charcoal. For the last ten years or so he has been painting with an encaustic medium (wax and oil). Kyle also designs and paint signs and murals for businesses and private parties.
