PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION

WHAT:           CDABA – Fall Fundraiser / Halloween Fun
WHO:             Coastal Douglas Arts & Business Alliance (CDABA)
Contact:         Tamara Szalewski at 271-2485
Many Haunting Thanks to all the Volunteers and Supporters

CDABA's wishes to extend many thanks to all the committee members, volunteers, sponsors and band sponsors who helped make the Halloween Weekend events so successful.  CDABA also really appreciates the response it received from local citizens and local businesses who really responded to calls for help and donations.  Many thanks to the community members who helped cutout ghoulish figures, who donated candy, who lent decorations and equipment and who otherwise helped turn the Reedsport Community Building into a haunting place to be last Friday and Saturday.
A list of the supporters was available Friday night---but that list did not include the many people who assisted with the set-up and take-down between Wednesday and Sunday (as it had already been printed).  The Committee gives a shout of thanks to all those persons and particularly to the number of volunteers from the Friends of the Library and Library Renovation Committee.  Special thanks to Jason Saunders for carving the super large pumpkin (donated by Frank Barth) and creating such a masterpiece to guard the front door of the event.
And to all the dessert bakers---Pam VanderKley, Delaine Humphreys, Renee Vaughn, Julie Huebner, Susan Huebner, Jack Lewis, Paige Allen, Eden Huebner, and Anita Smedley---thanks for helping raise just over $900 with such delectable treats as "Witches Wart Cookies."

There are just so many to thank -- thank you also to the many families who not only paid their entrance fee for the Haunted Maze/Toddler Tunnel, but who also brought extra cans of food to help those less fortunate.

They say it takes a village to raise a child – well the village of Reedsport really came through to help make the dinner/theatre event on Friday and the family friendly event on Saturday something that is still being talked about days later!
Thanks,
CDABA Board / Fall Fundraising Committee
