Art Auction to be featured at First Friday –October 1st - 5-7 pm
First Friday this month will feature an art auction. Local artists are encouraged to participate in the art and business alliance CDABA is offering with its 1st Art Auction.
Artists and Owners are invited to enter pieces of art into the Auction. There is a limit of two pieces per person / total 50 pieces. Items for sale must be delivered on the pre-registration date (Wednesday, September 29th 4-7pm). All unsold art must be picked up immediately following the auction. Buyers must take possession of sold art at time of sale.

Looking for fun this Sunday---September 26th? CDABA volunteers will be gathering together at the Mindpower Gallery between Noon and 2 pm to work on spooky cutouts for its Halloween Weekend events. We promise it will be a different way to spend your Sunday afternoon and we're looking for volunteers to help make the family friendly Haunted Maze a truly haunting place by cutting out life size forms. We will have a pre-registration table set up at the Library from 4:30-5:00 p.m. on the 6th. Team captains will be expected to meet at the library at 5 p.m. to go over rules and get their assigned first pub! Prizes are being awarded in the following categories: Best dressed (Oktoberfest style) team, best dressed male, best dressed female, Team that raises the most money for the library renovation cause (raised through sponsors, donations, etc..) and the team that answers the most trivia questions correctly. Speaking of dress up; if you need some help in that department, we have the following items to purchase: suspenders for $10, beer sunglasses for $8, beer Mug hats for $8, and beer bottle opener necklaces for $2. The pubs are serving dinner specials that are quick to fix so you can eat while answering your questions. Look in next week's announcement for dinner specials that will be available at each establishment!
