Boys and girls participated in basketball, football, track and volleyball in the 1920's and 30's. In the 1940's, the sport of boxing was added to the athletic program. Even with the war interrupting competition for a number of years, Reedsport Boys Basketball went to three state tournaments, winning in 1946. The Boys Football team also won the state championship in 1946. Girls Volleyball had athletic success in the 1940's competing in three county  tournaments.

A WORD FROM MISS MANNERS
As we move into the warmer months, it's a good time to reiterate a point of dance etiquette. You've probably seen in our publicity that we ask you not to wear fragrances to a dance, because some people are sensitive to them. In addition, the odor of unwashed bodies or clothing can be unpleasant at a contra dance. If you've had an active day, please shower and put on a clean shirt before the dance. And if you had a sardine-and-onion sandwich for dinner...brush your teeth too. Thanks!
