   Giant Rummage Sale to be held at the Lower Umpqua Senior Center, 460 Winchester, Reedsport on August 22 from 9 am to 4 pm.  The Senior Center is raising funds to create a smoke-free outside sitting area  for use on pleasant days.  Any and all usable items would be appreciated and arrangements can be made for pick up.  The Winchester Avenue Mini Storage has donated storage space so all items can be safely stored until the event.   For further information, please call the Lower Umpqua Senior Center @ 271-4884, or contact Janice Cockerham @ 271-0109

WHAT:  Old Planes and Old Military Vehicles Land In Lakeside

Hear the Roar of the engines, see them take off and land, see the old military vehicles, ask about cost to get a ride in a plane. The Third Annual Fly-In sponsored by the Lakeside Lions Club will be Saturday August 1st. Free admission for the whole family!

Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and Soft Drinks will be sold by the Lions Club to support their community service activities.

The Reedsport/Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the Ovation Award winner of "The Best Sporting Event in Oregon" DuneFest 2009, July 29th – August 2nd.  This five-day event is filled with exciting fun activities including Adult and Kid activities, Moto Cross, Racing, Sand Drags, Poker Run, Treasure Hunt, Show N' Shine, Drive-In Movie Night, Charity Auction, Freestyle Shows, evening entertainment featuring Rock The Dunes Friday and Saturday nights, A Canned Food Drive to benefit the Reedsport Food Pantry and many more activities.
 
Vendor Row will offer ATV's, clothing, crafts, and ATV accessories, and will open daily from 9am to 6pm with food vendors staying open later for dinner.  Vendor Row will close at noon on Sunday.
 
DuneFest 2009 is offering: A Kid's Safe ATV Riding Area, Non Ethanol Gasoline, premium fuel 92 octane, available in Salmon Harbor at the fuel dock, and a free shuttle bus service from Winchester Bay.
 
The Reedsport/Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce recognizes the significance of the ATV industry and welcomes all participants, sponsors, and vendors.
With their help, and the help of hundreds of volunteers, DuneFest is the premiere ATV sand event in the country.  DuneFest is a family-friendly atmosphere and boast the slogan:  THE MOST FUN A FAMILY CAN HAVE IN THE SAND.
