When:
Sunday, June 7th ,
starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 1:00 PM
Who:
Specifically, for children fourteen and under, but free fishing day
is for all.
Registered children will
participate in a tackle raffle, casting contest, a free hot dog and
pop provided by the U.S. Forestry Service.
Help:
Experienced anglers from the South Coast Chapter of the Coastal
Conservation Association of Oregon will be available to assist
youngsters. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and the
Gardiner, Reedsport, Winchester Bay STEP will provide fishing poles
and bait at no cost.
Access:
The South Coast Chapter of CCA, Oregon with assistance from the
Oregon Parks and Management Department cleared enough shoreline brush
and debris, so that everyone will have a place to fish.
Fish:
Lake Marie was just stocked by ODF&W with trout in preparation
for this event. They will certainly be hungry and waiting for you!
Please bring your children
and join us at Lake Marie on June 7th
for a fun day of free fishing. There will be lots of people there for
the sole purpose to help you and your children have great time.
