CareWear Uniforms will hold a uniform and scrub sale on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. CareWear Uniforms will set up in the conference room located at the rear of the lower parking lot. Enter through the door marked "receiving" and it's the first door on the left.
CareWear Uniforms sells scrub pants and tops for men and women, shoes, and other medical themed accessories. These items are perfect for anyone who works in the medical field or in a job that requires scrub-style clothing.
CareWear generously give back 15% of the total sales to Lower Umpqua Hospital to donate to a local organization. The proceeds of this sale will benefit Lower Umpqua United Fund.
The community is invited to attend the sale. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted for the public and payroll deduction for hospital employees.

CDABA Art Academy:
Several new felting classes have been added to the fall and winter class schedule.
Kathy Elfers will begin a series of classes with a $5 Friday event called "Ancient Art Of Felting" on Oct 18th. The class takes place at Coastal Ceramics, 159 S 20th, at 5:30. Kathy will share some background and history on hand felting as well as demonstrate several felting techniques. A display of felted items will be on hand. All ages are welcome. The remaining classes on felting are being offered several times and most would make unique Christmas gifts.
Time is running out to get registered for this $5 Friday and for the Best Pie Ever class by Beebe Slater on Sat. Oct 19th.
Without the minimum number of required students registered in a timely manner the classes could be cancelled.

Tickets are now available for purchase to the CDABA Fall Gala on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013. The annual Fall Gala will be decked out to the theme of 'Under the Big Top' with a carnival like atmosphere for a fabulous night out! The evening festivities will include an after dinner dance party with the bay area band 'Soulpie'. Evening highlights: Florence Bellydancers, Midway games, Dessert auction, Silent auction and Contests including Table decorating, Costume and Desert. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Mindpower Gallery at (541)271-2485 or from CDABA members. Will call is available for tickets purchased over the phone. Tables seat 8, reserved seating must be made in advance; open tables are available on a first come, first served basis after doors open. Advance tickets are $40.00 per person which includes dinner, drink and dance. ($50.00 at the door) Dance only tickets are $10.00 per person.
