All children ages 4 - entering 6th grade are invited to the Reedsport Church of God Vacation Bible School - SonQuest Rainforest!  We hope that you can  join us for this year's adventure!  You won't want to miss the fun and excitement of this year's theme of jungle fun - full of all sorts of outdoor adventure and activity!
 
If you have joined us for V.B.S. in the past, we hope to see you again!  If this is new to you, we hope that you will come and see what V.B.S. is all about and how much fun we have!!  You can pre-register at the church or register Monday, July 19th from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Pat Turner, local artist, member of Dunes Art Club and the Florence Arts and Crafts Association, will be featured at the Artist Showcase.   Pat's art includes:  oil paintings, photography, one of a kind jewelry, pen & ink landscapes, acrylic abstracts, poetry, and shell art. .   Her philosophy towards art is, "All Shapes, movement, and color are a romantic part of my life."

CDABA Seeks Donation of Art
 
As a part of its Artists Fair on Saturday, August 7, 2010, CDABA is making plans to sell art and is seeking donations of art.  All kinds of art are being sought-- whether it is an original, new piece of art or a piece of art that is looking for a new home.  The art can be any type of art, paintings, drawings, sculptures, printmaking, photography, jewelry, etc.  The proceeds from the sales of the art pieces will go to benefit the various community projects CDABA sponsors, including the First Friday . . . Art for Everyone events, the Artist Showcase events, and the Confluence Fountain.
 
Anyone interested in donating a piece of art should contact Tamara Szalewski at the Mindpower Gallery (271-2485) or Kathleen Miller (271-2101) to make arrangements for the donation.  CDABA is a local nonprofit and donations to CDABA are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and every donor should consult with his or her tax accountant.
 
Applications are also still being accepted for the Artist Fair.  The Artist Fair will be held on the grounds of the Reedsport Coffeehouse, 2285 Longwood Drive, Reedsport, OR  97467.  Artist who would like to have a display booth may submit an application together with the $25.00 to CDABA at PO Box 5, Reedsport, OR  97467.  Artists may pick up an application from the Reedsport Coffeehouse, Mindpower Gallery, Kathi's Vintage Antiques or by contacting Kathleen Miller at kkmiller@reedsportlaw.com.

DuneFest 2010 is looking for volunteers to help at this award winning event in Winchester Bay.  Volunteers can help with various activities throughout the five day event or work with Project Graduation and staff the registration booths.  We welcome all that can give a few hours; 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. August 4 – August 8.
