Please join us on Thursday, January 30th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at   the Elkton Community Education Center in Elkton for The Animal Nutrition and   Health Connection Workshop.  
Discussion topics include:
•    Basic concepts of animal nutrition and health and how   they are connected.
•    Importance and timing of vaccinations to prepare   livestock for production changes such as weaning, shipping, growing,   reproduction, and more.
•    Management plans for livestock health and   performance.
Focus will be on cattle, sheep, and goats.
Workshop speakers are OSU Extension Veterinarian Dr. Chuck Estill and OSU   Regional Livestock and Forages Specialist Dr. Shelby Filley.

Cost for the workshop is $10 per person paid at the door (cash or check   payable to OSUES).

Lower Umpqua Hospital is excited to announce the opening of a Walk-In   Clinic in Reedsport on January 8, 2014. 
•    All patients will be seen whether they have a primary   care physician or not
•    No appointment necessary 
•    Walk-In Clinic services are less costly than an   emergency room visit
•    Most insurances accepted
Hours of operation will be 12:00 – 8:00pm Wednesday through Monday.

GRANDPARENTS (and other RELATIVES) ROCK 
(Raising Our Children's Kids)
      An ongoing support group for any adult
   who is raising the child of a relative
Grandparents ROCK will host an information session on the legislation "New   Requirements Regarding Grandparent Rights" which took effect on January 1,   2014.  We will meet on Thursday, January 30,2014 from 5:30 – 7:00pm in Room   113 at the Newmark Center, 2110 Newmark, Coos Bay.
DHS Central Office Program Manager, Kathy Prouty will lead the   discussion.  We will learn what the bill says, how it will be implemented   and what it means for the future.  There will not be time in this meeting   to discuss personal situations involving grandparent visitation rights.    Local DHS and CWS personnel will also be present to answer questions.
