ABOUT:
The Florence Playhouse is pleased to announce another stellar season of summer shows that you don't want to miss! Beginning July 13th and running through July 22nd, The Florence Playhouse will first present "The Fantasticks" by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt. This poignant gem was the world's longest running musical, with a total of 17,162 performances over a 42 year period. It has a poetic book, and breezy, inventive score. It also features some fresh new faces to the Florence Theatre scene. April Gilreath plays the sweet ingénue, "Luisa," complemented by the talented Alex Grady as her love interest, "Matt." Fabulous additional cast members include: John Bachman, James Bonisteel, Chuck Knorr, Kate Reed, Eddie Ross, and Jamison Smith. John Flaherty directs this musical tale to perfection and Johanna Bonisteel works her magic on the piano keys.
Following on the heels of "The Fantasticks" will be the hilarious farce, "Lend Me A Tenor," directed by Melanie Heard. "Lend Me A Tenor" has been described as "a roller coaster of fun for everybody in the audience," and there's a reason why. This fast-paced play by Ken Ludwig is a dress dropping, door slamming, laugh riot, and the audience will literally be on the edge of their seats! "Lend Me A Tenor" performs July 27th-August 5th. "Tenor's" cast members include: Judy Adams, Carole Blalock, Polly Fleming, Mike Jacobson, Chuck Knorr, Mat Korso, Victoria Seitzinger, and Jason Wood. Don't miss your chance to see this "accelerating snowball of comedy!"
Last in the Florence Playhouse season will be "Always, Patsy Cline," featuring the amazing talents of Nancy Pearson and Judy Adams. Directed once again by John Flaherty, "Always, Patsy Cline" is far more than a tribute to a legendary country singer. It is based on Cline's actual friendship with Louise Seger, a fan from Houston who befriended Cline in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961. "Always, Patsy Cline" runs August 10th-August 19th.
All 3 shows will be performed at the Florence Playhouse, an intimate 100 seat theatre located at 208 Laurel St. in Old Town. Steps from delicious restaurants, shops, and galleries....if you don't live nearby, come to Florence for the weekend and check out our wonderful town! Show-times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime. Tickets are only $10, and season tickets are available (all three shows for only$25!)
To reserve your tickets, call: 541-997-1675 or visit Splash/On Your Feet on Bay Street in Old Town. For additional information, visit: www.florenceplayhouse.com

First up is the show at Gallery By The Bay in North Bend. This show will run from 7/9 8/1 with an artist reception on 7/12 from 5 7 pm.

The second show will be at the Tsunami Gallery in Gardiner. This show runs from 8/10 9/4 with an artists reception on 8/11. I don't know the hours for reception yet but it will be in the evening.
We plan to have a few new pieces for each show so you won't see all our work in any one place.
