Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion along with her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life changing school programs in America. A quartet of jazz soloists will be highlighted in the Oregon Coast Chamber Orchestra (OCCO) Spring Pops concert series. The Reedsport concert is scheduled for Sunday, May, February 6, at 2 P.M. The concert will be held at the Pacific Auditorium, located on the campus of the Reedsport Community Charter Schools.
Tickets for this spring program are now available at the Reedsport branch of Umpqua Bank. They can be purchased during regular business hours at the bank's Information Desk through Friday, May, 4. Admission price is $10 per person. Tickets will also be on sale at the door one hour before concert time.
Among the talented jazz improvisers are John Polese, trumpet; Stuart Curtis, clarinet/saxes; Matt Keown, drums and Robin DeVour, keyboard.
