REEDSPORT—   Red Devils from Coquille won't be the only Halloween guests at Ruppe Field on Friday, October 28.  Ghosts, goblins, fairies and superheroes will also be among the crowd, as the Braves Boosters present a Kids' Halloween Costume Contest before the Reedsport Braves varsity football game.
Contestants will be paraded in front of the grandstand crowd in four age groups-- infant to 2 years, 2 to 4 years, 5 to 7 years, and 8 to 10 years.  All participants will receive a small gift, with the top costume in each age group receiving a larger prize.
Registration for participants begins at 5:30pm, with the grandstand review and judging beginning promptly at 6:00pm.
Families are encouraged to stay and enjoy the Reedsport/Coquille football game afterward.  Contestants can get free child/student admission, with a paying adult, by presenting an event flyer at the admission gate.  Flyers are available at both Highland Elementary and Reedsport Community Charter School offices, and will be included in Highland school's weekly mailing.

CDABA 2 Day Halloween Gala Event includes the following line up: Friday Night Dinner 6 pm to 9 pm; Contests: Table Decorating, Costume for Individuals, Couple and Group; Haunted Dessert Auction; Art Auction; Haunted Maze preview; Door Prizes; and No-host Bar. Dance, with live music by "Candy Apple Blue," following the dinner is included for dinner ticket holders. Tickets are $40 per person. Last year the dinner sold out. Will Call tickets are available. Call (541) 271-2485 to reserve yours now.
Not planning on attending the dinner. You can still get into the Halloween Dance featuring the Band, "Candy Apple Blue." Cover charge is $10 for the CDABA Fundraising dance only. Dance the evening away with music from the 70's and 80's in a "spooktacular" setting. Pre-view Saturday night's Haunted Maze. No-host Bar. The CDABA Fall Gala Event will open its doors Friday night for the Dance only attendees at 9 p.m. at the Reedsport Community Building, 451 Winchester Ave. The Dance ends at Midnight.
Saturday night CDABA ends its Fundraising event with a Family Friendly Halloween Haunted Maze at the Reedsport Community Building, 451 Winchester Ave. in Reedsport, open 5 pm to 9 pm. The hours for the Toddler Tunnel are from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. Light Refreshments will be provided as well as Halloween Trick-or-Treat Bags for all kids in attendance. This is a "haunted and spooky, not gory" maze intended for kids 5+ yrs to teens. The Toddler Tunnel is intended for children 5 yrs and under.  Entry Cost is $2.00 or 2 cans of food per person at the door. Food will be collected for a Reedsport area food bank.  By request, this year the Highland Parent Organization (HPO) will also be on hand to sell hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy.
