PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION
WHO: A Community Welcome for James M. Clemens, new head of USCG Station Umpqua River
WHAT: A Meet and Greet with Master Chief Clemens
WHEN: Thursday, August 25th  from 4:30 - 5:30pm
WHERE The MAC in Winchester Bay
SPONSOR:  Winchester Bay Merchants, Friends of Umpqua River Light and Salmon Harbor Management

The Winchester Bay Merchants along with Friends of Umpqua River Light and Salmon Harbor Management are inviting the entire community to welcome the new head of the United States Coast Guard Station Umpqua River, Master Chief James M. Clemens.  Master Chief Clemens is a native of North Carolina with most of his Coast Guard experience being on the West Coast with his most recent posting at Station Chetco River.

This is an opportunity to meet and greet the head of one of our communities most valuable assets, the life saving station so important to the continued success of fishing on the river.  We are hoping a grand number of our citizens will come out and introduce themselves to Mr. Clemens, so if there are any issues concerning the station each party will feel free to contact the other at an early opportunity.  He will be able to answer your questions and tell you of his approach to decision making

The meeting will be held at the MAC on Thursday, August 25th from 4:30 to 5:30pm.  Some tasty appetizers will also be available.
