This is an annual fundraiser for REEF. It is open to everyone, and the scramble format ensures everybody has a great time.

The Hole-in-One prize includes a 2010 Honda valued at $30,000. Lunch and a big raffle immediately following rounds out the day.

REEF's mission is to procure financial resources through ongoing fundraising efforts, annual pledges, sponsorships and donations, so as to provide students with an enriched classroom experience and other educational opportunities they would otherwise be unable to enjoy. We are a booster's club for the classroom.

Dr. Greg Romine will bring the prophetic word of God to Reedsport Foursquare Church Sunday 6:30 PM, October 10. Dr. Romine has a heart for the lost all over the world. Short-term missions trips for volunteers, a global missions college, and a church in Vancouver keep him busy and traveling extensively. Dr. Greg and his wife Cindy began their ministry as Foursquare Pastors in the Newport area and then went overseas as Foursquare missionaries to the Philippines and Hong Kong. After successfully planting churches, orphanages and ministries, they returned to Oregon to take teams to places like the Philippines, Honduras, Singapore, Nigeria, Romania, the Amazon, Mexico and more. Their most recent activities include efforts to stop human trafficking in the US, Thailand, and Europe.

WHAT:  Annual Lasagna Dinner
WHERE:  St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 12 St. John's Way

It is time again for the annual Lasagna Dinner at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.   It will be October 17 at the parish hall, 12 St. John's Way, Reedsport.  Homemade desserts are  being served.  Prices: Family (immediate) $20.00; Adults $6.50; Children (8-12 years) $3.00; Children (3-7 years) $2.00.  The funds raised  are used by the Altar Society as it supports certain church needs throughout the year.  Y'all come!  For further information contact Becky House at 541-587-4243.

 Haunted Maze and Toddler Tunnel
CDABA's family friendly Haunted Maze and Toddler Tunnel scheduled for Saturday, October 30th is in the need of volunteers and supplies.  Everyone is invited to contact Tamara or Tara at 541-271-2485 to learn more about volunteering to cut out life size spooky images for the Haunted Maze.
Also---if you can loan or care to donate---the following items would be greatly appreciated:
          Candy (for the treat bags)
          Trick-or-treat bags
          Pumpkins (of all sizes to be donated to children for carving)
          Battery operated votive candles
          Orange light bulbs
          Strings of light (colors:  orange, green, purple)

Fred Van Wert will be the featured artist at the Artist Showcase on Friday, October 15th between 5 and 7 pm.  Fred's interest in the arts started as a teen in auto design.  He later moved to other mediums:  wood, plastic, clay, fiberglass, metal, driftwood, ceramics, and painting.  Fred says he enjoys learning from each piece he crafts.  Come enjoy Fred's variety of art.
Artist Showcases are held at Reedsport Natural Food Store, 1891 Winchester Avenue (Hwy 101), Reedsport, OR on the third Friday of the month.  Future dates are November 19th (Dunes Art Club) and December 17th
CDABA also sponsors a First Friday art event at a different location each month.  Future dates are:  November 5th (Lower Umpqua Hospital, featuring the Kenagy family artists), December 3rd (Coastal Ceramics/Ocean Breeze-1st Anniversary event) and January 14th (note date change—Mindpower Gallery/2nd Annual Photography Contest).  For more information about these events go to http://www.orgsites.com/or/cdaba.
