Peace Health Cardiology Clinic will provide free screenings from 4 to 4:30. After a presentation and question & answer session, they will discuss the numbers collected at the beginning of the session.

WHAT: Drill Conductor Course for Commercial Fishermen
WHERE: Salmon Harbor Marina Activity Center, 263 Marina Way, Winchester Bay, OR
WHEN: Tuesday and Wednesday, March 11th and 12th, 7:45 a.m. to 5:00p.m.
WHO: Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA)

This course is offered at no cost to commercial fishermen to meet training required by 46 CFR 28.270. Students will learn emergency procedures and the use of safety equipment aboard commercial fishing vessels to allow them to conduct effective drills. This class will be physically demanding, including timed immersion suit donning, entering the water and climbing into a life raft, starting dewatering pumps, putting out fires, etc.
Preregistration is required, and space is limited. All commercial fishermen interested in taking the 2-day course are urged to sign up as soon as possible.

An ongoing support group for any adult
who is raising the child of a relative
Grandparents ROCK will meet on Friday, February 28 at 5:30pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 2741 Sherman Ave., North Bend.
This will be a general support group meeting where we eat pizza, share stories and talk about things we want to do for future meetings.

We have held over our garage sale at Reedsport Foursquare Church for one more day, Saturday February 22. Everything is marked down to clear it out. Everything is a bargain. Please post or list as appropriate. We are still trying to raise money to get some folks to Honduras to help provide a medical clinic for some of the poorest people in the western hemisphere.
The church is located at 2900 Frontage Rd in Reedsport.
