Fountaineers sought for 2013.
Fountaineers are still needed for 2013. Keeping the lights on and the water flowing at Reedsport's Confluence Fountain is made possible by the generous donations from members of the community. Coastal Douglas Arts & Business Alliance (CDABA), the local nonprofit who oversees the fountain, is conducting its annual drive to raise the funds needed to maintain the fountain. Although donations in any amount are encouraged, those community members who donate $100 or more become known as "Fountaineers."
CDABA is a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. If you would like to make a donation, make your check payable to CDABA and mail it to PO Box 5, Reedsport, OR 97467. CDABA's federal identification number is 93-1282012.

Reedsport Infant Center Needs Washing Machine
Great Afternoons is reaching out to the community for urgent assistance in quickly securing a new washing machine for their infant center facilities.
The washing machine is needed for their Great Beginnings program, which offers low-cost infant childcare and support for families in the Reedsport area. Their previous washer recently stopped working and is beyond repair.
"Like many others, our funds are stretched thin, and we don't have the capacity to purchase a new washer," says Chris Marsh, Great Afternoons Director. "We are hopeful that there may be someone out there who may be able to offer us a running machine for little to no cost."
Great Beginnings is located next to the Family Resource Center at 5 St. Johns Way. Transportation can potentially be arranged if needed. Those who may be able to help are asked to please call (541) 271-3926 as soon as possible.
Great Beginnings and Great Afternoons are programs of Oregon Coast Community Action. Oregon Coast Community Action is a non-profit network of programs that help feed, house, warm and educate the communities of the South Coast. For more information on Great Afternoons please call (541) 271-3926 or learn more at www.orcca.us/gahome.html
